ANCIENT EDUCATION VS MODERN EDUCATION

As you can see, the latest critics affect directly to our education. Some people though that we would have a better one if it returns to ancient models. Others think that current system makes us being more intelligent. Although that, we think there are no perfect system; all of them have advantages and disagvantages but it doesn't mean thyat one is better than the other.

On the one hand, it is believed that one of them must be better than the other one, but you have already known that it isn't true. We have many advantages that ancient students don't have, moreover they also have some beneficst that we have lost by the time. Nowadays, we needn't pay for the books (as they are subsidised by the Government). We are free to choose whatever we want without church's intervencion. We also have inmediate availability of information, so we can look for it with a wide variety to choose. Formerly, they had more discipline at class (during our grandfathers' time, any noise couldn't listenned to by the teacher). They also have more serious teachers, who made no distintion so they used to exert themselves more than we do at present.

On the other hand, not only nowadays system has disadvantages. During the past, the books were paid by parents; they used to be taugh only to know how to read or write, there weren't more abilities to be developed. And they don't also have access to Internet, so their sources were limited. Currently, we have lost the interest, they try to make an igualitary system in which everybody can obtain a degree. Effort isn't valued now, so it doesn't make different if you studied a lot or not. Teenagers are forced  to be at school until 16 years although they don't want to study. We also use a vertical system of education in which the teacher always explains while the students might not be paying attention.

As we can see, both systems have its advantages and disadvantages. So the only thing can be done is trying to improve our system using ancient beneficst and other countries advantages. That is because education is one of the most powerful weapon we have

 THE USE OF PRIVATE TRANSPORT MUST DECREASE AS IT IS NOT AS USEFUL AS IT COULD SEEM SO WE SHOULD LOOK FOR OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORT

II.               It is not as safe as we imagine

•       Great possibility of accidents
•      If we see some stadistics, there are so many car accidents
•      This accidents are produce because of dangerous ways of driving,       not being as careful as we should (it usually happen on young people), the lack of attention (the use of mobiles during the dirving, try to control the music…) and external factor (the weather, the others drivers, …)

III.            Private transport have many problems

• Accidents

·         We need many money to avoid them

·         We also need many money to repair their damages

•       It doesn’t produce a job

IV.            It destroyes our planet

•  Pollution

  Air pollution

  Atmospheric pollution

•   Desforestation in order to built new roads
•  Acoustics pollution

·         During the traffic jamb

·         It produces stress

• We exhaust natural resources like fuel

Due to their cost and their dangerous we should use public transport instead of private transport

Women’s maltreatment should be considered as one of the most important problems in our country, but it isn’t. Every hour, every day, every year, the number of maltreatment’s women rise and we should avoid it inmediatly.

First, we should know what maltreatment is. It isn’t only the physical violence in which more and more women are involved. It also include the psychological mistreatment. Nowadays, our country has an alarming amount of women’s death. Agressive men usually hit their women and shout at them. Some men not only kill their partners, they also kill their self-esteem in order control them at all. Because of that, many women have killed themselves.

There are many women who have suffered from maltreatment. I have known a girl whose boyfriend abuse her. She started to go out with him and at the beginning everything was fine. She notices that he was a bit jelaous and it became worse and worse with the time. The boy didn’t let her going out with friends, she couldn’t speak with other boys, he used to ridicule, insult or even make her feel embarrassed. Even though, she loved him and she didn’t listen her friends and family. As she has allowed this, he started to hit her. At first, she only has small bruises and hits. This maltreatment was such a big one that, before that he gave her a beating. At the moment she endangered her life, she realize that it’s worth to stay with a man who hits her

There are few solutions to this topic which is affecting our society. We should teach men. They shouldn’t be violent and they should be taugh that hitting is not a good way to have the reason. I also think that laws should be harder because a man who mistreat a women can’t be considered a men. We must also protect women who are suffering this and give them a better life. Women should know that they are not alone, they can look for help when this happen. Women should also be taugh in order to know when mistreatment is affecting their relation.

To sum up, love and violence can’t be in the same statement. And if we continue like this, more and more women would die.

The crisis, which is nowadays in our country, makes it a difficult place in where we can live. Every cut, that politics usually do, affects to our education and, the most important, to our health. But how is that affecting to us?

Firstly, this crisis is causing a very big 'brain drain'. So, we are losing the most intelligent people in our country as we couldn't afford a salary for them or even give them a work. While we lose them because of the lack of money, we are losing too the possibility of disocvering medicins to cure some death illness. Some countries are taking advantages of our crisis as they offer our young intelligent people good jobs and also a good salary. More and more people go away in order to look for a better future that couldn't be affored in our country. This crisis also affects directly to our health . When the government need more money, they usually take it from hospital's money. So, nowadays if we go to an hospital, we would find a lack of medical instruments, a lack of hospital or even a lack of nurses and doctors. Doctor's salary also decreases and they have to work long journeys with less amount of money. Because of that, doctors and nurses are tirer and tirer, and they couldn't do their work properly. They are preassured, they have to work long journeys without a rest and they may make some mistakes because of the lack of rest.

To solve that problems, we should motivate our young people in order to stay in our country. We should let them show us how important are they in our lifes. If we do nothing, more and more people will left our countries and we couldn't blame on them as they are looking for their future. We should also get advantage of the beneficst we have. The Constitution sais that the goverment should protect their habitants health. This will mean that we pay our health service through ours taxes. Because of that, they shouldn't apply cuts on it.

To sum up, we shouldn't agree with cuts as they are affecting even to our health. We should fight for our rights and they cannot remove the right of live properly.

Time past over and the humanity has evolved a lot. We can find many discovers that he humanity has made and that we couldn't live without them nowadays. These discovers are a common thing in our lifes. We can't imagine our life witouht our mobile or even our computers with Internet. But these discoverings are been introduced in education and here we can find a debat in which people don't agree with each others.

On the one hand, most people prefer working by hand. The fact that teachers use handwriting as the way of learning so many years show us how important and useful could it be the children's learning. It could be in teresting because children learn how to write and when this happens, they feel very proud of themselves. They delude themselves when they see how their efforts are rewarded, they feel amazing when their scrawals get into letters or even their names. The writing also develop children's abilities. It makes them think and learn even more. So it can be considered the best way of learning how to read or even new things. The explanations are clear when we use blackboards or sheets to explain it. For those reasons, teachers usually prefer this way of learning.

On the other hand, the TICS are very common in ouyr lifes and make them easier, so, why shouldn't we use these advantages in our children's education? The TICS are getting more and more important and useful in our schools as it is a dynamic way of teaching. The children as well as get fun, learn in a passive way. Teacher usually use games and different sources in order to catch the children's attention during the explanation. TICS makes our job easier, because we can find everything on the Internet even more, working through the computer is faster and more comfortable than writing by hand.

To sum up, the best way of teaching a child in the school is use both methods, because each one can be efficient but both of them together can obtain their best.

My father, my love

My father will always be my hero and I will tell you why. Although he might not be the nicest person in the world and he also has bad mood, he always makes me happy and makes me smile too. Another thing is that he is not a typical father and I think that is what makes him special and different for me from the rest.

He always tries to help me in everything he can since I was very young. He also gave up his job in order to take care of me and my little brother. He is used to akways taking care of as and he does everything so that we are fine and get fun. Another thing which is very special of my father is that he is the funniest person in the world. Everyone I know always laugh with him. He is always making jokes or doing stupid things as he wants us to be happy. I could remember some weeks ago while some friends and I were watching a horror film, he suddendly appeared with a mask and started to shout trying to scare us; we were so frighten that he started to laugh, then we realised that it was my father.

I can alos remember other many things I have done with him. I used to go for a walk with him in order to help his health, we used to walk our dog. But we also share a lot of moments as he helped (and he is still doing) me with my studies...he could be hoorus and hours listening to me while I was telling him every word I have studied. But one of my favourite moments with him happened when I was very young. We used to watch films together and I used to fall asleep on the sofa during it, so my father used to take me to my bed when it happened. After that he usually kissed me and told me: 'never grow up my little princess, I'll always love you'. Once I wake up while he was carrying me to the bed and I could listen to such beautiful things he used to tell me; and because of that I used to pretend to be asleep since then to listen every nighy what my father told me.

Another thing that makes him special is that he was able to get fine from a very dangerous illness when he was young; he was fighting against it too much time and now I'm very proud of him because of that. Ad¡nd he can be considered the best father in the world not because what he does for me, even for what he makes me feel and the love he has for me.

In conclusion, that are the reason why he is my superhero. He wouldn't be a Nobel prizewinner but he is special for me. I don't know what it will happen in my future, but I'm pretty sure that if someday I got married and had children, I would like to be like him. So I love him!

Opinion task: EBOLA

I’m going to speak about Ebola. That’s why Ebola can be described as a 21st century problem or worry. But we only get worried about this dangerous illness when it is prejudicial to Spain. So we could be so hypocrite to worry about something when it only affects us; we consider ourselves very caring but we don’t care about how much people are dying in Africa because of that illness. I think it would have been better if we have done something when it had started in Africa. We should have eradicated it in the place it started as it is very difficult to stop an epidemic after moving it to different parts of the world. Moreover, Spain wasn’t prepared for such a dangerous illness. It is because there aren’t good infrastructure and qualified workers; our experts are training through drill and the reality is very different to the fiction. We should value courage and the effort of our doctors which are trying to treat this illness, but, on balance, we are doing something wrong…if we help people in Africa, we will finish with that. I wish we would halt and save as much people as it is possible

My grandfather

My grandfather was the best person I've ever met. He might not be the most handsome and he also had a very bad mood, but he'll always be my reference That's why he was strong and he had always been proud of me. When I met him, he was ill and he was in a wheelchair; so we used to go for a walk together and he always told me some stories about his work. I missed a lot when he said goodbye to me as he always kissed me and said: 'Bye my little princess, I'll always love you'. He was also very funny. He was always making jokes and calling me sergeant because I was very strict and I also very bad humour as him. He always made me happy and made me smile. The worst thing can happen to you is losing someone you love, even more if it is your grandfather. I missed hom a lot and love him so much too but I know he would be proud of me if he was here.

My favourite place in the world

You would never understand how beautiful this place is until you visit it. That’s one thing I’ve always love. This place is a small town near mine called Riópar.  Riópar is lovely place, which the most important and noteworthy is its nature. I like getting lost in their beautiful nature because I feel relaxed and confident. I really love its river Mundo’s source as, when it rains a lot, we see a nice waterfall. You should be careful as it is on a steep hill and it is slippery and possible dangerous, so you can fall down. When you are on the top, you can see terrific view as you see unspoilt part and hear the calming sound of the shiny water falling down.

I sometimes go there with friends and we usually have a picnic day in their big fields. But, in spite of this visits, as I really like it, I usually spend a week on a cottage with my family. I love these houses, very big houses in which you can find a fireplace and also have a different aura, you feel calm. There I can breathe pure air and be happy without needing so much; I can spend hours and hours seeing the nature or reading a book with a thickness coat and the hottest melted chocolate. I can also go for a walk and it makes me fall in love, every single place, its source, its nature … it’s a hair-raising experience. 

There is also a problem. It’s the coldest place I’ve ever visited as it is next to a mountain. You must wear a lot of warm clothes. But it doesn’t matter, as, if it is even possible, it is more beautiful in winter. That’s why snow makes it perfect.

It’s a tiring journey as you can’t stop walking and visiting places but at the end you would feel like wanting to stay there. I encourage you to visit and spend a few days there, you wouldn’t regret as it is extremely striking!
